The pivotal moment in Ati’s career began when she was doing her Honours project, studying water insects to indicate wetlands health. Recognising that environmental policies will not change without effective communications plans in place, Ati abandoned the plan to spend a career lifetime in genetics lab and turned her attention to science communications instead.
After a decade spent telling stories about innovative technologies in renewable energy, green ports, and safe construction practices across Asia, Europe, Middle East, and now Australia, Ati hasn’t turned back. As an accidental marketer, Ati’s latest works saw Roborigger, a Perth-based crane lifting and logistics automation company won accolades in innovation and went from strength to strength as a WA-grown success story in industrial automation.
