Brigette completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Curtin University and entered the construction industry in Perth. Over the next decade, she continued to study a Master of Project Management and Graduate Certificate in Energy and Carbon Studies. In 2017 she relocated to the Pilbara, making Karratha home. Her strong connection with the Yindjibarndi people and her passion for the environment and sustainable futures, led her to co-found Cheeditha Energy in partnership with Cheeditha Aboriginal Community in 2018. As Brigette continues to grow her renewable energy company, her achievements are being recognised on a national platform, winning the 2022 Women-Led CORE Innovation Award, and recently being named a finalist in the Australian Women’s Weekly Women of the Future Awards.
