Dr Sarah Pearce is Director of the SKA-Low Telescope. She leads a growing team working on the world’s largest low frequency telescope, being built in the Murchison region of Western Australia, on Wajarri Yamaji country.
Her previous roles included Deputy Director of CSIRO Space & Astronomy, Acting CSIRO Chief Scientist, science advisor in the UK Parliament, and project manager of UK computing for particle physics. She has a PhD from the University of Leicester and a degree in physics from the University of Oxford.
Dr Pearce is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering. In 2020, she was named NSW Business Woman of the Year and Australian Space Executive of the Year.
