Emma O’Neil is passionate about technology and innovation and is the definition of the + in WiTWA+. Her career has seen her promote public engagement with STEM, celebrate outstanding people in STEM, support research commercialisation, and grow technology businesses.
Emma says “I love working with innovative entrepreneurs and researchers to articulate their technologies. It’s vital to communicate the value of science and technology to the public, and I really enjoy working with specialists to help them break down and translate their work to a lay audience.”
Having worked in science engagement and industry development for the public and private sectors, she is currently with AustCyber WA, facilitating collaboration, building capability by inspiring more people to join the sector, and supporting cyber startups and scaleups to commercialise.
