Jo leads an educational not-for-profit called Earth Science Western Australia (ESWA) where she manages a team, grows sponsorship, creates resources, trains teachers, presents incursions, forges industry links and supports events with the aim to support the teaching of Earth and Space Science (K-10) and Earth and Environmental Science (Year 11 and 12).
Despite already having an environmental sciences degree, Jo felt she would have more credibility in her role as CEO of ESWA by qualifying as a geologist. She completed her geology degree whilst working full-time for ESWA.
She is a shining example and leader in education, STEM and women in the resource sector. Jo continues to build on her success, and that of ESWA, through her foresight and vision.
