LJ’s journey into tech is a little unique, after driving 100-tonne mining trucks on mining and construction projects in Western Australia, LJ decided she needed a change.
She studied at a coding Bootcamp and upon completion scored a gig as a Junior Developer. After finishing the Xero Graduate Program, LJ pivoted into a Product Owner role at Perth startup LiveHire, where she worked to deliver the product vision.
LJ is passionate about women in tech and enabling career changers and is the co-founder of the JuniorDev Community and Levels Conference, a first of its kind conference crafted especially for Junior Developers. She has also volunteered for WIT organisations Tech Girls Super Hero and MusesJS.
Putting passion before profit, LJ has worked for 3 years in her own time to contribute to a better future for all people in tech and those who use it, and is excited to pivote again professionally to dedicate her career to the cause, by joining She Codes Australia.
