Fadzi is a Global Diversity and Inclusion Strategist and award winning social justice advocate. Over the course of her career, Fadzi has received both international and local recognition for her efforts to champion inclusion and diversity, most recently being named a 2018 Western Australian of the year. Over the course of her career she has been involved in numerous programs and initiatives that promote inclusion and diversity including being appointed an Australia Day Ambassador, serving as the National Human Rights Program Manager for the United Nations Association of Australia, board member of the Museum of Freedom and Tolerance, diversity committee for White Ribbon and Australian Computer Society and Ambassador of the philanthropic 100 Women. Driven by her personal experiences, and motivated by a sense of responsibility, Fadzi started a leadership and mentoring program, Sofa Sunday to ensure that young women from diverse backgrounds would not have to go through some of the challenges she faced as a women of colour. Sofa Sunday is an intimate program for young women from diverse communities to connect, communicate and create lasting impact together. Fadzi’s work primarily focuses on addressing systemic and institutionalised barriers held towards historically marginalised groups and she is a sought after speaker, facilitator and moderator.
