Ben is a passionate Python mentor, speaker, and developer. He has spent his life surrounded by technology, and is currently employed by BHP leading the supply chain applications WAIO program. Ben is a technical architect building microservices with Python, Django, Flask and AWS Lambda. Ben is passionate about workplace diversity and sharing his love for programming, naturally leading him to volunteer first with Melb-DjangoGirls, and then after returning to Perth, with She Codes Australia.
Ben recognises that quite often the biggest hurdles to learning to code aren’t technical issues, but in learning to embrace the constant cycle of failure as you learn a new skill, and hopes to help people grow to embrace failure as learning.
