Alexandra Helens spent 10 years on Centrelink, unable to gain employment as a disabled neurodivergent woman. She got in to BHP’s neurodiversity internship program in 2018, and was hired on afterwards. She has since built a career as a Neurodiversity and Disability champion, with a focus on employment. She speaks publicly, consults at companies and non-profits, and has started her own educational video series. She also talks about how our society can better include disabled and neurodivergent people.
Alexandra is Autistic, Queer, and has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome.
