Thinking she was destined to keep people safe and well in mining, Annika never expected that taking a job implementing safety systems in 2006 would change her trajectory forever. Looking back, it was obvious that every moment was leading to tech. By day she was on site, but by night she was designing tools to make her work life more efficient and streamlined. Coming from this decidedly non-technical background, she quickly found her place in the world of software, getting paid to do work she did not even know was a profession. Providing innovative solutions became her raison d’etre and works with her teams to deliver value every day.
