Caitlin Bathgate is a tech creative with a history of 2D/3D animation who has successfully launched a career in UX Design at the age of 26.
Caitlin is fuelled by the wonderful experience of mentorship and regularly shares her experience and enthusiasm for engaging women with STEM skills at Girls Programming Network (ECU Joondalup), She Codes and local outreach events.
She recently stepped forward at the DDD Perth 2019 convention and presented her first talk even titled “Lost in Space: Risk, Reward and Women in Tech”.
Sharing personal stories and highlighting a toolkit for navigating the experiences women exploring employment in underrepresented industries may encounter.
When not volunteering, Caitlin can often be found bringing her diverse creative, technical and communication skills to local tech, social impact and education spaces around WA.
