Caitlin Woods is a skilled, upcoming Software Engineer and a PhD student at The University of Western Australia (UWA). She holds a Bachelor of Science (Software Engineering) and Master of Software Engineering (with Distinction) from UWA. Caitlin’s goal in her career is to lower the “barrier to entry” into the technology scene for both individuals and businesses.
Caitlin founded a small software start-up, Hoo Solutions, aimed at helping small businesses to bring technology into their company. She also works part-time as a Senior Research Engineer at The UWA System Health Lab. In this role, she actively mentors other students who work in the lab as well as contributing to several industrial research projects in Industrial Ontology and Natural Language Processing.
