Christina obtained a PhD in Optimisation at Curtin University in 2008, for which she was awarded a Chancellor’s commendation for excellence. She completed three postdoctoral research positions, in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Melbourne, at the Austrian Institute of Technology, and in the Computer Science department at the University of Melbourne. In 2015 she was awarded the President’s Mid-career Plenary Award at the International Congress on Modelling and Simulation.
Since 2016, Christina has worked in industry, developing optimisation and artificial intelligence solutions. She has published 17 peer-reviewed articles and authored a book on these topics. She has supervised five Masters projects and been awarded more than $1.5Million in consulting and grant funding as Principal Investigator.
