Erica Urquiaga

Laying the groundwork for her successful cookie empire off the back of a workplace injury while working as a process technician, Erica displayed extraordinary tenacity and doggedness to get her business set up. She is often the only baker in the room at various innovation, entrepreneurship and even mining events. Erica has helped out various fundraisers and fellow business owners through cookie donations and guidance to help them establish and grow their causes and business endeavours. She actively provides recommendations and introductions across parties within her network to help them out. Having been through the experience of starting a home-based food business, she is always ready to help out whenever anyone has a question – be it with food-related businesses or any aspects of the startup life; she is always ready to assist in any way she can. Erica also volunteers her time to programs such as the Curtin Ignition Entrepreneurship program to encourage other business owners to pursue their dreams. She is dedicated to bringing joy and happiness to those who get to enjoy her treats and uses the profits to spread joy and happiness further by hosting an annual Christmas party in the Philippines for children who would miss out on Christmas cheer.
