About Kathryn Heaton

Kathryn is a highly accomplished environmental engineer who leads technical multidisciplinary engineering, environmental and scientific teams supporting water/wastewater infrastructure, and innovative solutions to water resource recovery and reuse for the community. She has worked across Western Australia and overseas, including Antarctica, is a qualified Board Director with 10 years experience, a Churchill Fellow, an Engineers Australia Fellow and is a committee member on the International Water Association and the Australian Water Association. She is passionate about working with stakeholders to create awareness and knowledge to address the challenges of water scarcity, pollution control, waste management, climate change, and population growth.

She juggles working full time with parenting twins, one of whom has special needs, and caring for elderly family members.
