Lavender (Qingxiang) Liu is a Senior Earth Observation Data Scientist who has been contributing to geospatial community using her technical and leadership skills. Following completion of PhD, she worked as a Remote Sensing Analyst and was promoted as a Senior Analyst after one year. After over two years of consultancy experience, she worked as a lecturer before joining FrontierSI as an Earth Observation Data Scientist.
Now working as a senior technical role within the Insights Team, Lavender is also the co-Chair of FrontierSI’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee. She was the co-recipient of the 2023 National Future Leader of the Year Award by the Geospatial Council Australia, and the winner of 2023 WA Diversity and Inclusion Award.
