Leanne McKenzie is a civil engineer and commercial (fixed wing) pilot with an Executive MBA.
The recipient of a scholarship during university in Melbourne, Leanne moved to Western Australia in 1996 for a graduate engineering role with BHP in Newman. She established a strong foundation delivering civil and construction projects, moving to Perth in the late nineties and subsequently leading a major urban renewal project for state government in the early 2000’s.
Leanne has led major state strategic projects in infrastructure, urban growth corridors and town revitalisation across Western Australia. She sits on expert panels reviewing major infrastructure projects on behalf of government.
Aviation has played a big role for Leanne since 2010, securing her commercial pilot licence in 2014, and participating in two Outback Air Race events across Australia raising money for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Leanne now delivers drone (unmanned aviation) technology to business and education institutions.
