After completing a degree in chemical engineering, Lydia has gone on to work for companies like Rio Tinto and Hatch in resources as diverse as nickel, copper and uranium. During these roles, Lydia has honed her expertise in process design and modelling and in 2018 joined Fortescue as a member of the Process Engineering team.
Lydia spent her first six months in the ore processing plant gaining practical experience in equipment and processes. But when a role opened up in the Process Control team to assist with production reporting and data analytics, Lydia expanded on her process modelling expertise to immerse herself in computer language and quickly became an invaluable member of the ore processing team.
