Nanwen Sounness is a mechatronics engineer and developer at BHP. She currently develops applications that help keep front line workers safe and assist the business to make fair and consistent reward decisions.
Nanwen is an advocate for diversity and inclusion and is a member of the Neurodiversity@BHP steering committee. She is passionate about the intersections between technology, the future of the workforce, and inclusion.
Outside of work, Nanwen is a supporter of equal access to education and has so far fundraised over $8,500 for One Girl, enough to educate over 30 girls in Sierra Leone. She is a 2020/21 Young Leadership Delegate for the Australian American Leadership Dialogue which aims to advance mutual understanding among Australian and US leaders.
