Philippa Williams works in the RAN as a marine technician submariner in the Submarine Headquarters Safety Cell. She is deeply passionate about ‘future proofing’ Australian submarine capability and safeguarding the welfare of the Australian submarine workforce. She is a key contributor to several current projects including reducing instances of audio-vestibular injuries and the introduction of 3D printing into submarine enterprise capability. She is autodidactic and has developed everything from computer programming skills to STEM edutainment and outreach initiatives to support her work promoting a safe, healthy and capable workforce, now and in the future.
Philippa loves to laugh, a trait she shares with her newly acquired mentee. She is often found immersed in esoteric technical problems armed with a coffee.
