About Rebecca Muir

Rebecca is a mechanical engineer and scientist who has an interest in tackling complex, multidisciplinary challenges and producing fit for purpose solutions. She has had roles in heavy haulage, decarbonisation, biomedical device development and Lunar exploration robotics among others.

She is passionate about STEM outreach and has helped students of all levels of education engage with robotics and foster engineering mindsets. Rebecca was honoured to be the team lead of her university robotics team, Monash Nova Rover, as they competed in the University Rover Challenge and the Australian Rover Challenge in 2020-21. She is also an International Space University alum, having completed the Southern Hemisphere Space Studies Program (SHSSP) in 2022.
