Stephanie is a specialist in corporate, private M&A, and intellectual property & technology (IP&T) law, focussed on assisting SMEs & business owners. She has significant experience in IP&T work advising on management, protection, commercialisation and procurement of IP&T and as a technologist, having worked as a software developer in the IT industry. Stephanie advises on private M&A transactions & deals for Australian and foreign publicly listed and private companies with projects in Australia, China and the US.Stephanie is recognised in Doyle’s Guide as a leading lawyer, and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia. Stephanie has actively supported the WA innovation ecosystem for many years through mentoring, assisting to implement programs, & offering strategic board advice & support.
Graduating with a combined law / computer science degree, Stephanie was one of only four graduates to be offered a position by IBM in her home state. Working as a software developer, Stephanie was recognised and commended as an IBM ‘Rising Star’, being offered options in the company.
Stephanie then transitioned her career, combining her law & technology expertise to provide a unique offering as a Corporate, IP and Technology lawyer, first in Adelaide and later head-hunted to Perth, working for international clients.
Stephanie progressed to partnership in well-regarded firms & is recognised by her peers in Doyle’s Guide. This is complemented by her work in the innovation ecosystem as a director / volunteer helping start-ups & scale-ups realise growth.
