Wei is a passionate educator, researcher and advocate of Data Science & AI, who specialises in tackling the challenges of discovering patterns and extracting knowledge from natural and technical textual data. 20 years of academic career has been an incredibly rewarding learning and sharing journey for her, propelled by her quest of the ultimate question on how to build or bestow intelligence into machines. Always feeling humbled by the fortune of living in our digital era, which filled with abundant and ever-growing oceans of data, she believes that through algorithmically learning from past data while designing more purposeful data collection strategies and techniques, we are getting closer day-by-day towards machine intelligence.
